HIMELE Welcomes Dr. Beth "Bam" Post to its Board of Directors

Dr. Beth "Bam" Post has been elected to the HIMELE Board of Directors.
Bam joins Chairman Alan Akaka and Directors Addison Ching, Nate Goore, Larry Holu, and Geronimo Valdriz to further HIMELE's mission of conducting, promoting, and enhancing music education and enrichment for people of all ages by educating, promoting and perpetuating Hawaiian music, Hawaiian culture and Hawaiian musical instruments.
Dr. Post is a retired lecturer, having taught Psychology at University of California, Davis. She also has experience working in, and subsequently serving as board member at Explorit Science Center, a hands-on science museum in Davis.
Other prior board membership includes the Sacramento Ballet, Team Aggie (sports boosters) UCDavis, the Ka'?nohi Foundation (Sacramento Aloha Festival), and co-founder of the Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society.
She is currently a board member of the Mohala Hou Foundation, organizers of the former Aloha Music Camp.
