Here is the latest news about HIMELE's steel guitar festivals and events.
Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival - Keiki Kine
The 2025 Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival - Keiki Kine will be held at Ka Makana Ali‘i in Kapolei on August 16, 2025 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM HST. A decision to relocate the festival this year was made after HIMELE was unsuccessful in obtaining a confirmation for the festival date and time at the festival's previous venue, Kahala Mall.
Also, partially due to the festival's relocation, livestreaming of the concert will not be available.
Waikīkī Steel Guitar Week
HIMELE's Livestreaming provider has informed HIMELE that they will will not be able to provide livestreaming services for Saturday's Waikīkī Steel Guitar Festival concert on July 12, 2025. HIMELE is still attempting to secure an alternate provider. Livestreaming will, however, be provided for Friday's Japan-Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival concert.
Hawai‘i Island Steel Guitar Experience at Mauna Lani
A tentative date for 2025's Hawai‘i Island Steel Guitar Experience at Mauna Lani has been set for November 6-9, 2025, pending approval by the Auberge Resort's management. The Saturday of that date also coincides with the resort's Twilight at Kalahuipua‘a community program so steel guitar performances will once again be featured in the Twilight program.
