Windward Mall Festival Scheduled for June 11

The Hawaiian Steel Guitar Festival at Windward Mall is back!
The 2022 festival will be presented on Saturday, June 11, 2022, beginning at 11:30 A.M. The festival will run through 4:00 P.M.
This will be the first community-based steel guitar festival presented in 2022. The festival at the Windward Mall is designed to reach the Windward Oah‘u communities including Kane'ohe, Kailua, Waimanalo, and surrounding areas.
Kelly O'Sullivan, Senior Retail Marketing Manager for Windward Mall said, "We are looking forward to a great event!"
This year's program is still being developed and will be announced when it is finalized. It is expected to include five favorite O‘ahu-based Hawaiian steel guitarists.
Also included in the festival will be a hands-on experience. Festival guests can learn more about and experience playing the steel guitar under the guidance of a steel guitar trainer.
The festival will also be livestreamed as a part of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Showcase's festival presentations. The livestream will be broadcast on the Showcase's Facebook page and YouTube Channel. The livestream may also be available on the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Showcase's Facebook Page.

Funding for the festival and livestream broadcast is provided by Hawai‘i Tourism Authority through the Kūkulu Ola Program, administered by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation. The festival and livestream broadcast are also supported in part by the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA), through appropriations from the Legislature of the State of Hawai‘i or grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
