Call for Spring Open Stage Showcase Participation

The first Hawaiian Steel Guitar Open Stage Showcase for 2022 is now in the planning stages.

Steel guitarists or steel guitar bands interested in participating in the livestream broadcast are are encouraged to submit videos of their Hawaiian steel guitar performances for inclusion in the Showcase. The Showcase provides an excellent opportunity to share your talents with a worldwide audience.

The livestream events are broadcast on Facebook and YouTube and have the potential of reaching steel guitar enthusiasts from all parts of the world. The program provides an opportunity for steel guitarists to share their talent with the steel guitar community.

Potential participants should visit the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Showcase website's Showcase Open Stage page for information about preparing and submitting videos.

Videos must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the showcase.

1. Acceptable video formats are M4V, MOV, MP4, or MPEG4
2. Video resolution - Full HD resolution, 1080x1024 or 1080p
3. Video frame rate - 30 frames per second
4. Video length is limited to five minutes or less
5. Hawaiian or Hawaiian-related songs are preferred and will receive primary consideration
