The weekend of our first Virtual Festival has finally arrived! Our Special Guest Performer, Geri Valdriz and the Kika Kila Band, is scheduled for Saturday, January 23 at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time. The Ukulele Workshop by Al Nip will be shown on Sunday, January 24 at 5:30 p.m. instead of 5:15 p.m. If you plan on participating in the workshop, print out the workshop handouts that are posted on the HSGA website beforehand.
This weekend will be a good time to wear your favorite Hawaiian shirts and Muumuu's and enjoy the festival in the comfort of your own home. Consider having your own luau with some decoration and your favorite food or beverage.

Please remember that the viewing times that are published on the schedule are for the Eastern U.S. Time Zone. The first segment begins at 1:00 p.m., Eastern Time. This means that, if you are on the West Coast, you can watch the first segment at 10:00 a.m., and if in Hawaii, 8:00 a.m. If you sleep in on the weekend, no worries; the festival is 100% video and can be watched anytime after the initial viewing. For our members and friends in Australia, Japan, and China, the viewing dates are January 24 and 25.
Just go to our website for full details and the schedule. Join us on Facebook or search for "HSGAFestival" page on YouTube to stream it there.
There is no fee for viewing, though we are asking a suggested donation of $25. If you are not a member of HSGA, we encourage you to consider joining for the $30 annual fee in place of a donation. Of course, this virtual festival is open to the public.
Hope to see you on January 23 and 24.
Roberto Alaniz is Secretary/Treasurer for the HSGA and the Festival Chair.
