Courtyard Renovation Completed

Renovations Completed: Courtyard Kaua‘i is now a Sheraton Resort

October 11, 2019 • Addison ChingFestivals and Conventions

The renovation of the Courtyard Kaua‘i at Coconut Beach, site of the annual Kaua‘i Steel Guitar Festival and Keola Beamer's Aloha Music Camp has been completed. As anticipated, the Courtyard has been rebranded and is now known as the Sheraton Kaua‘i Coconut Beach Resort.

The remodel features a redesigned lobby and new eating areas. The former E-lounge outside the main dining area has been repurposed to a new cafe dining area. The former Voyager restauant is now the Sunrise Restaurant, a breakfast restaurant and flexible meeting area, and the Makai lounge and bar has been turned into a new dinner restaurant. The pool area and outside courtyard has been completely redesigned, and the bar moved outdoors to the pool area. Guest rooms have also been updated.

According to a press release, "Anchoring the resort is a revamped pool area where new food and beverage concepts and zero edge pool overlook the sweeping vistas of the sea surrounding the tropical island. Casual, sociable and with an understated surf-vibe setting, The Crooked Surf pool bar takes its name from Makaiwa, the curved surf that breaks on the shores of Kapa'a. The sophisticated tiki bar emphasizes the island's bounty with dishes such as the Big Kahuna burger, tuna poke and pork bau buns paired with a selection of craft cocktails, mocktails and low ABV drinks. For a refined and elevated dining experience, take a seat at Moamoa Hawaiian Fish House, which partners with local farmers and fishmongers to bring the freshest seasonal ingredients daily to the tables of travelers and locals. Expect an evolving Pacific Rim-inspired menu of dishes such as kampachi crudo, Kona clams, whole fried fish and table side poke."
