1956 Bronson Singing Electric

October 1, 2019 • Geronimo "Geri" ValdrizInstruments and Luthiers

George Bronson was a lap steel guitar teacher living in Detroit, Michigan who had a line of steel guitars built for him by Valco. He sold them in his store and through a mail order catalog.

1956 Bronson Singing Electric

This Bronson "Singing Electric" model steel guitar is covered with Pearloid MOTS (mother-of-toilet-seat). The swirling blue pearlette pattern gives the body a glittering three dimensional look.

All the hardware is gold plated, and the guitar is fitted with a standard single coil pickup made by Valco.
