Excel Jerry Byrd Fry Pan 8 String

This steel guitar was designed by renowned steel guitar master Jerry Byrd together with Mitsuo "Fuzzy" Fujii, owner of Excel Steel Guitar Company, Japan.

It is based on the original sought after Rickenbacher Frying Pan steel guitar.

The guitar body is all cast aluminum, with a fingerboard reading "Jerry Byrd", and has a replica horseshoe pickup. It has slight design changes thought to improve its playability.

This guitar is currently manufactured in Japan by Excel. Sayonara!
