The Valco Company manufactured lap steel guitars for Supro. Valco designed the various models and supplied the hand wound single coil pickups.
The "Studio" model features a bottle shaped wood body wrapped in MOTS (mother-of-toilet-seat) plastic. The blue pearlette color of the body together with the gold sprayed pickup unit and control plate make this an attractive guitar.
The plastic fingerboard highlights the colorful fret markers of a totem pole winged design.
The catalog description states that the Studio model is "Designed For Hard Wear—Ideal For Studio Operation!"
