1960's Kay Lap Steel

Kay is a musical instrument maker established in Chicago in the 1930's.
Kay built a variety of instruments, and some of their pre-war acoustic guitars are highly sought after by collectors today.
By the 1960's Kay was primarily known for cheap, student-level instruments including guitars and lap steel guitars.
The body of this lap steel guitar is light weight and is made of a compressed wood composite. It is painted speckled Seafoam Green with white frets and white position markers.
It is equipped with a blade type "rail" guitar pickup for your sonic enjoyment.
