Since the 1930's the Valco Company manufactured a variety of musical instruments including the electric lap steel guitar. These steel guitars were made for brand names such as Supro, Airline, National, and Oahu.
This steel guitar is a double neck 6 string Oahu Iolana "bird in flight" model. It allows players access to two different tunings from one steel guitar.
The guitar features a plastic white "mother of toilet seat" pearl covered body, and twin Valco "through-field" magnetic pickups. The treble clef motif on the bridge cover adds a nice musical touch!
