The Frying Pan lap steel guitar was manufactured by the Rickenbacher Electro Company from 1932 until the mid 1950's. It is the first electric guitar ever to be successfully marketed.
The Frying Pan came in two models: the A-25 long scale model, and the A-22 short scale model. The A-22 is the more common of the two, the A-25 is the grail.
This steel guitar has a rare black "krinkle paint&quiot; finish and the famous pre-war horseshoe magnet pickup. The A-25 was used by early steel guitar greats Andy Iona and Dick McIntire. Tone Monsters!VINTAGE
