June 11, 2016 • Addison ChingFestivals and Conventions

HIMELE, producer of steel guitar festivals throughout the State of Hawaii, announces the addition of the Kona Steel Guitar Festival. This annual event is designed, like other steel guitar festivals, to broaden the exposure of and perpetuate the Hawaiian Steel Guitar throughout the state.

The annual event is being targeted for the October-November, 2017, timeframe. The festival will include steel guitarists from Oahu and the Island of Hawaii and will likely include school visitations and an open stage segment. A venue has not yet been chosen for this event.

Information will be made available on the festival's website at as it becomes available.
